Messaging Terminology Call Waiting - This is a tone that will tell the subscriber that another call is incoming. Caller Access Code - This is a code that the subscriber can give certain callers that will allow them to reach the subscriber even when he is unavailable. The caller will push <8> and them enter the code to reach the subscriber. Conference Calling - This feature will allow a subscriber to talk with multiple callers at one time. The callers will be able to speak with each other and the subscriber. Follow-Me Number - This is a contact number that will allow the system to try a second device to contact you. This number is customizable and can be changed at any time. Name Greeting - This is a recording of your name. Your caller introduction will announce calls using your name greeting in case someone else answers your phone. This will also be used to identify you to other subscribers. Paging Notification - This option will notify you of any attempts to contact your account. This is customizable and can be alpha or alphanumeric. Passcode - This is a Personal Identification Number that will insure that there are no unauthorized entries into your account. You may change this number at any time. Personal Distribution List - This is an option that will assign a one or two digit code to multiple numbers. This list can be used to send one message to multiple contacts, or contact everyone to initiate a conference. Personal Fax Number - If the subscriber often receives faxes at a certain fax number, they can set this option. When their account receives faxes, they will be sent to this number. Personal Greeting - This is the recording the callers will hear when you are available for calls. Personal Operator - Callers can dial <0> to be sent to a personal operator. This is a number that the subscriber can set to contact their office, or to an assistant. Scheduling - This is an option that will allow the subscriber to set specific times that they available or unavailable. You can activate or deactivate this schedule at any time. Screening Options - This allows the subscriber to preview, or screen, the incoming call. This option can be used or disabled. Second Follow-Me Number - This is a contact number that will allow the system to try a third device to contact you. This is configurable and can be changed at anytime. Speed Dialing - This is a one or two digit code that you assign to a telephone number. You can use these codes to place a call or assign a Follow-Me number. Temporary Greeting - This is a recording that callers will hear to inform them that you are not available to take calls and asks them to leave a message. Urgent Message - A message can be marked "Urgent" and will be the first message that the subscriber will be presented with. |
