There are special rules applicable to the access, use and disclosure of CPNI. Under federal law, you have a right, and ACS has a duty, to protect the confidentiality of CPNI. CPNI is information that we obtain solely as a result of providing you services, such as the quantity, technical configuration, types, destination, location and amount of telecommunications services that you utilize, and similar information on your bills. Your name, address and telephone number are not CPNI.
In order to better serve your total communication needs and to identify, offer and provide a full range of products and services to meet your specific requirements, ACS needs your permission to share your CPNI among its affiliated companies, agents and contractors. ACS will always honor your choices as to the use and disclosure of CPNI. Please note that your withdrawal of consent will not affect the status of any services you currently receive from ACS.
In addition to the above consented to uses, we may disclose CPNI to comply with any laws, court orders or subpoenas, or as necessary to provide you with telecommunications services you currently subscribe to. We may use CPNI to try to win back former customers in accordance with the law. We may also use CPNI to offer new plans, terms and conditions, upgrades, and new or additional products and accessories related to existing services you have with ACS.
